Book Name:Shan e Ali رضی اللہ عنہ Bazaban e Nabi ﷺ
سُبْحٰنَ اللہ What an esteemed rank! The scholars say that this is an exclusive virtue of Sayyidunā Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ.[1]
A practice of Sayyidunā Abu Bakr al-Siddiq رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ
It was the practice of Sayyidunā Abu Bakr al-Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ to gaze at the face of Sayyidunā Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ. One day, his daughter, the mother of the believers, Sayyidatunā Aishah رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہا asked, “Dear father! I have observed that when you see Sayyidunā Alī (رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ), you gaze at him and then leave. What is the reason for this?”
Sayyidunā Abu Bakr رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ replied, “O daughter! I heard the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم say, ‘Indeed, looking at the face of Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ is an act of worship.’” [2]
This act of worship was carried out by the Companions عَـلَيْهِمُ الرِّضْوَانْ and the fortunate TābiꜤīn. How can we gain such a blessing? If only we are blessed with beholding the beautiful vision of Sayyidunā Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ in our dream.
Hadith 3: Love for Sayyidunā Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ is a sign of faith
In a Hadith of Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim narrated by Sayyidunā Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ himself, he said:
By the One Who splits the seed [i.e. brings forth a tree from a seed] and created the soul! Indeed, the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم promised me that none except a believer will love me, and none except a hypocrite will hate me.[3]
