صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers, as we approach the end of the bayan, I will now have the honour of mentioning the virtue of the Sunnah and some etiquettes of life. The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: مَنْ تَمَسَّكَ بِسُنَّتِيْ عِنْدَ فَسَادِ اُمَّتِيْ فَلَهُ اَجْرُ مِائَةَ شَهِيْدٍ “Whosoever holds firm to my Sunnah when my Ummah is facing tribulation, he will receive the reward of 100 martyrs.”[1]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Here are two narrations of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم:
1. Whosoever visits a sick person, he sits in the gardens of Paradise. When he stands, 70,000 angels supplicate for him until the night.[2]
2. Whosoever visits his sick Muslim brother with the hope of attaining reward, he will be distanced from Hell by 70 years.[3]
O devotees of the Prophet! Visiting the ill is a Sunnah of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
* Whenever the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم received news that his companions were ill, he would visit them.
