Book Name:Namaz Ki Ahmiyat
Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Na’eemi رَحْمَةُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْه comments:
Whoever misses Salah does not remain under the protection of Allah. With the blessings of Salah, a person remains protected from calamities in this world, saved from a bad death, succeeds in the test of the grave and attains refuge from problems on the Day of Judgement. The blessings of Salah cause him to remain in the protection of Allah. (Mirat al-Manajih, vol. 1, pp. 79; summarised)
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers! Being heedless in regards to Salah can lead to Allah Almighty becoming displeased; it can lead a person to Hellfire and a lack of blessings in one’s household and wealth. Whilst commanding us to punctually offer our Salah, Allah Almighty says in the second Juz of the Holy Quran, Surah Baqarah, verse no. 238:
حٰفِظُوْا عَلَى الصَّلَوٰتِ وَ الصَّلٰوةِ الْوُسْطٰىۗ-وَ قُوْمُوْا لِلّٰهِ قٰنِتِیْنَ(۲۳۸)
Translation from Kanz al-Iman: Guard all your Salahs and (particularly) the middle Salah, and stand with devotion before Allah.
The importance of Salah can also be judged from the fact that Sayyiduna Ibrahim عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم supplicated that may he and his offspring continue to establish Salah. This has been mentioned in the 13th juz of the Holy Quran, Surah Ibrahim, verse no. 40 in the following way:

Translation from Kanz al-Iman: ‘O my Lord! Make me the one who keeps Salah established, and (also) to some of my offspring. O our Lord! And answer my supplication.’
Remember! Even on the Day of Judgement, the first question will be regarding Salah. It is stated in a blessed Hadith: ‘اَوَّلُ مَایُحَاسَبُ بِہِ الْعَبْدُ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَۃِ صَلَا تُہٗ - “On the Day of Judgement, a servant shall firstly be questioned about his
