and the punishment within it. Look out for your best interests, get rid of laziness, refrain from sins and start offering your Salah! Some people miss their Salah by indulging in useless activities. They don’t even realise the fact that they are continuously disobeying Allah Almighty. He is blessing us with countless bounties day and night without us asking for them. Despite this, some people are unable to lower their heads in the court of Allah just five times a day.
In order to remain protected against worldly diseases, problems and hardships, we start reciting the invocations told to us by people straight away. But what about Allah Almighty, Who has commanded us to offer Salah hundreds of times in the Holy Quran? How much do we act upon His command? When we are called to present ourselves in the court of Allah Almighty, how many times do we say labbayk and go to the masjid? Azan is called from the masjid five times daily, inviting us towards success. Does this call fall on deaf ears, or do we leave everything to attend the masjid? Many heedless people still remain asleep, despite hearing about the punishments of the grave, the severity of Hell and terrors of the Day of Judgement. May Allah Almighty truly wake us up from the sleep of heedlessness.

Dear Islamic brothers! Remember! 5 times daily Salah is obligatory upon every sane, baaligh [the one who has reached the age of puberty] male and female Muslim. Anyone who denies the obligation of Salah is excluded from the fold of Islam, even if his name and other acts remain like that of Muslims. The one who affirms that Salah is Fard but misses even one Salah deliberately, is a grave sinner and becomes deserving of punishment in Hell. The Imam of the Ahl al-Sunnah, Imam Ahmad Raza Khan رَحْمَةُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْه says: ‘He who deliberately missed one Salah becomes rightful of staying in Hell for thousands of years, unless he repents and offers it as qada.’ (Fatawa Razawiyyah, vol. 9, pp. 158) Just imagine that one will have to stay in the Hell for
