Harms of a bad company

Book Name:Harms of a bad company

Sayyiduna Imam Abu Abdullah Muhammad Bin Ahmad Qurtubi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states the following: If a dog attained such a grand status and rank through the blessings of the company of the righteous and Awliya رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه that Allah Almighty mentioned it in the Quran, then what is your opinion regarding the Muslim who loves the Awliya رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه and the righteous, and takes from the blessings of their company. In fact, there is reassurance in this verse for those Muslims who have not achieved a high rank. (Tafseer Qurtubi, part 15, Surah Al-Kahf under the verse 18, juzz 10, vol. 5, p. 269) Meaning, there is reassurance for them that they will succeed in the court of Allah Almighty due to this love and reverence of theirs. (Siraat-ul-Jinaan, part 15, Surah Al-Kahf under the verse 18, vol. 5, p. 550)

Shu’bah Izdiyaad-e-Hubb

Dear Islamic brothers! You have just heard that regardless of whether it is a human or an animal, the one who is blessed with a good company is never deprived. Rather, the special bounty and favour of Allah Almighty is upon such a person and he attains success.

One way of attaining good company in this age of tribulation is to be associated with the fragrant religious environment of Dawat-e-Islami. اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه, through the blessings of the company of the devotees of the Prophet in this religious environment, many strayed people have been rectified, and after repenting, they are living their lives under the banner of the following  religious aim: ‘I must strive to reform myself and the people of the entire world اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه.’

In order to fulfil this religious goal, we should all actively take part in the works of Dawat-e-Islami. اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه, Dawat-e-Islami is working in over 109 religious departments across the globe to spread the call to righteousness. One of these departments is known as ‘Shu’bah Izdiyaad-e-Hubb.’

The purpose of this department is to practically act upon the “pious action number 65” at an organisational level by encouraging those brothers who used to attend but no longer do so and make them active in the religious environment again and to involve them in the ‘movement for populating the Masajid’, meeting them at their shop, home or office by arranging a time,
