*whose name would cause the likes of Qayser and Kisra (Kings of Rome and Persia) to tremble.

Act upon the character of Farooq-e-A’zam رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه! In spite of having such a lofty and exalted status, reflect on how Ameer-ul-Mu’mineen, Sayyiduna ‘Umar Farooq-e-A’zam رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ would please others and look after them. In this account there is a lesson for us also that if any of our Muslim brother is in difficulty or is in need of us in any matter and we have the power to remove his difficulty, then we should also act upon the way of Sayyiduna Farooq-e-A’zam رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ by trying to please him. We should also act upon the character of Sayyiduna Farooq-e-A’zam   رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ by being a well-wisher for others. Let’s listen to another narration to gain encouragement to please others:

Imam Hasan رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ and pleasing poor people

Once, Imam Hasan رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ was passing by such poor people who were sitting begging in the middle of the path and eating leftover pieces of uncooked roti that were scattered on the floor. He gave salaam to them. They replied and requested: ‘O grandson of the Holy Prophet! Eat with us!’ When they invited him, he said: ‘Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ does not like those who desire greatness.’ He then ate a few pieces with them. Whilst leaving, he gave salaam and said: ‘I accepted your invitation. You also accept my invitation.’ They replied: ‘Huzoor! As you say.’ He then asked them to come with him. When they came to his house, he fed them excellent food and also ate with them. (Ihya-ul-‘Uloom, vol. 2, pp. 45, bitaghiyur)

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                                                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

O devotees of companions and Ahl-e-Bayt! Just ponder! What excellent character the grandson of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, the life of the daughter of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, Imam Hasan رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ had. In spite of having a high status, he pleased the poor people by sitting with them and in return, he invited them to his house. From this parable, we learn that not
