It is stated that the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was on this mountain when he split the moon into 2 pieces. Because Makkah-e-Mukarramah is surrounded by mountains, people used to climb this mountain for sighting the moon. (The moon that appears on the first, second and third night is called Hilal). Therefore, as a remembrance, a Masjid named Masjid Hilal was built here which used to be called Masjid Bilal by some people. وَاللّٰهُ وَرَسُوۡلُهٗ اَعۡلَم

“Yawm-e-Ta’teel I’tikaf” one of the 12 Madani activities

Dear Islamic brothers! To have a genuine desire of visiting Makkah and Madinah and to increase our love for the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, joining the Madani environment of Dawat-e-Islami, the Madani movement of devotees of Rasool is an excellent way of achieving this. Become fully attached to this Madani environment and make it a habit to give time to the 12 Madani activities. One weekly Madani activity from the 12 Madani activities is Yawm-e-Ta’teel I’tikaf (Holiday I’tikaf). During holidays, devotees of the Rasool travel from city to city and village to village in order to fill Masajid, learn and teach the knowledge of Islam through call towards righteousness. اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه  Yawm-e-Ta’teel I’tikaf is an excellent way of teaching Islamic brothers Sunnahs & etiquette and Madani Dars, etc.

Through the blessings of Yawm-e-Ta’teel I’tikaf, Masajid get filled with Salah offering people.

Through the blessings of Yawm-e-Ta’teel I’tikaf, every moment spent in the Masjid is counted as worship.
