Remaining Madani pearls for a seeker of knowledge

٭ Knowledge is a treasure and asking question is the key to it.

٭ In order to acquire knowledge, one shall not feel shy in asking questions.

٭ Flattering is not from the character of a believer, but one can do flattering in order to acquire knowledge.

٭ When you need to ask a question to any scholar, then out of respect, take his permission to ask the question.

٭ Excess of knowledge is acquired through seeking it and awareness is gained through questioning. So learn what you do not know and act upon what you do know. (Jami’ Bayan-il-‘Ilm, vol. 1, pp. 122, Hadees 402)

٭ The best time to gain knowledge is the early youth, time of Sahari and the time between Maghrib and ‘Isha Salah. However, this fact was regarding what was superior. A student of knowledge should remain engaged in acquiring knowledge at all times. (Rah-e-‘Ilm, pp. 73)
