طَیبَہ میں مَر کے ٹھنڈے چلے جاؤ آنکھیں بند

سِیدھی سَڑک یہ شَہرِ شَفاعَت نگر کی ہے

Characteristics of Madinah Munawwarah

Dear Islamic brothers! As the city, Madinah Munawwarah has countless merits and excellence, similarly Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ has blessed this sacred city with uncountable virtues, such as:

There is not a single city on the earth that has so many beautiful names as we have for the holy city of Madinah. Some Islamic scholars have written 100 names.

Madinah Munawwarah is a city upon whose devotion a large number of Qasidahs (eulogies) have been written in many languages of the world, and these praises continue to be written, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه عَزَّوَجَلَّ.

The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم migrated here and resided here.

Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ named it ‘Taabah’ [طَابَہ] (i.e. pure, clean and fragrant place).

Upon his return from a journey when the Holy Nabi صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would arrive to blessed Madinah, then due to the love of Madinah, he      صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would increase the speed of his ride.

The Holy Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would feel heartfelt peace in Madinah.

Sayyiduna Sa’d Bin Abi Waqas رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ has narrated: While the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was returning from the battle of Tabook, some companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُم who could not participate in battle of Tabook met him on the way. They flew the dust in the air. A person covered his nose. The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم removed the cloth from his nose and said, ‘I swear by the One under Whose omnipotence my life is! ‘There is cure for every disease in the soil of Madinah.’ (Jami’-ul-Usool, vol. 9, pp. 297, Hadees 6962)
