Once Sayyiduna Zubayr Bin ‘Awwam رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ was asked about the secret of him being a successful businessman, he رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ replied: I have never bought anything without seeing and I have never rejected little profit and whoever Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ wants, He عَزَّوَجَلَّ grants him blessing. (Al-Istee’aab, vol. 2, pp. 92)

Dear Islamic brothers! Have you heard when Sayyiduna Zubayr Bin ‘Awwam رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ was asked about the secret of his success in business, then he     رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ stated beautiful Madani pearls and also said that this is not my excellence, but whoever Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ wishes for, is granted blessings. From this it can be easily understood that the manner of business and employment, of our pious predecessors رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَالٰی was very great indeed.

His honesty

Sayyiduna Zubayr Bin Awwam رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ was a great example of piety for others to follow. He رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ passed away in this blessed month of Jumadal Ukhra. In relation to his blessed ‘Urs, we will listen to his blessed Zikr today. Since he رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ was an honest and a successful businessman, we will also receive the privilege of listening to his رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ blessed qualities in business principles.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب       صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

 

Sayyiduna Zubayr Bin ‘Awwam رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ was very honest. Many a times, people used to place their belongings in his security. Ameer-ul-Mu`mineen, Sayyiduna ‘Usman-e-Ghani, Sayyiduna Miqdad, Sayyiduna ‘Abdur Rahman Bin ‘Awf and Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah Bin Mas’ood and seven other glorious companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُم appointed Sayyiduna Zubayr Bin ‘Awwam رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ as a guardian over their wealth after their death. Sayyiduna Zubayr Bin ‘Awwam رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ would look after their wealth with absolute honesty and would spend on their children from his own earnings.
