Main Facts about Islam to Teach Our Kids

Kids are the future of a nation. The most vital factor in deciding that where the world will go in the coming years is, to check how our children are brought up. If we wish a good change in our society in the future we should be very careful about the education of our kids. The children begin to learn at very early age, they learn from their parents and also from their environment. Being Muslims it’s our duty to teach our kids about Islam, to tell them about the reality of Islam. The things which kids learn in their childhood have a great impact on their whole life so if we imprint the facts about Islam in their minds then it will remain in their minds throughout their lives. We should provide our kids an Islamic environment and teach them facts about Islam. To create the interest of our kids In Islam we must start telling them about Islam at their very early age so it will show them the importance of Islam in our lives. From where should we start our teaching and what should we teach our kids? First of all start teaching main facts about Islam and fundamental beliefs of Islam.

The first fact which is to be known by every Muslim is the existence of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ.The fact that the Universe, Life, and Human beings are created, and therefore have a Creator, addressed in the Arabic language as Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ is absolute, unlimited, independent, One, and has neither a beginning nor an end. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ sent his Prophets عَلَیْہِمُ السَّلَام for the guidance of humanity. The first Prophet was Hazrat Adam عَلَیْہِ السَّلَام after him there were lots of Messengers of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ at different times in history. Among these Messengers the most famous are Hazrat Nuh عَلَیْہِ السَّلَام, Hazrat Younus عَلَیْہِ السَّلَام, Hazrat Yousuf عَلَیْہِ السَّلَام, Hazrat Ibrahim عَلَیْہِ السَّلَام, Hazrat Ismail عَلَیْہِ السَّلَام. The Prophet Muhammad صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ is the final Prophet of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ .

Thirdly the idea of Holy Quran, that Al Quran is a book revealed by Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. It is the miraculous proof of the Prophet hood of Muhammad (صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ) who was sent as the last and final Prophet and Messenger of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. Holy Quran is the last book revealed by Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. Before the revelation of this book Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ revealed other books on other Prophets such as Zaboor was revealed to Hazrat Dawood عَلَیْہِ السَّلَام, Toraat to Hazrat Musa عَلَیْہِ السَّلَام, Bible to Hazrat Eisa عَلَیْہِ السَّلَام, other pamphlets were also revealed to other Prophets عَلَیْہِمُ السَّلَام. There are angels created by Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ who always remain busy in the worship of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ specified their tasks such as Hazrat Jibril عَلَیْہِ السَّلَام delivers the message of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ to His messengers. The angels are creations free from sins.

The Day of Judgment is the day when Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will weigh the deeds of every men and women. The good deeds will be on one side and bad deeds on the other side of the balance. The one whose good deeds will be heavy than the bad deeds will go into the heaven and the one whose bad deeds are heavier than good deeds will be ordered to go into the hell. Heaven is a house adorned by Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ for pious people. It contains countless blessings. While the hell is house of fire where the disbelievers will be punished forever.

The next thing about Islam is the concepts of worships, the basic obligatory worships such as the establishment of the prayer, teach your children how to do Wudu and how to offer Salah. Likewise teach them all the worships. A very important thing to teach our kids is good manners of Islam how to behave with people around them how to do Salam how to respect your elders how to walk and talk in other words teach them all these manners and tell them the harms of bad manners for example teach them the reward of truth and punishment of lie. To tell our kids the life stories of Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ and stories of his companions is also very important. Kids learn a lot from stories so tell them these good stories so the love of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ inculcate in their mind.
