اٰمِیْن بِجَاہِ النَّبِیِّ الْاَمِیْن صلَّی اللہ علیہ واٰلہٖ وسلَّم

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                  صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! A’la Hadrat رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states: Although Allah Almighty has mentioned the great right of the father over the children, to such an extent that He mentioned the father’s right alongside His own right, when He said:

   اَنِ اشْكُرْ لِیْ وَ لِوَالِدَیْكَؕ-

Be thankful to Me and to your parents.

[Kanz-ul-Iman (translation of Quran)] (Part 21, Surah Luqmaan, Verse 14)

However, He has also placed a great right of the children upon the father, for the child, on account of his Islam in general, then the speciality of neighbourhood, then the speciality of being closely related and then the speciality of being a family member, due to his being a compendium of all of these rights, he possesses a very special position, and as the speciality increases, the right also becomes greater and firmer.
