وَ اَطِیْعُوا اللّٰهَ وَ رَسُوْلَهٗۤ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِیْنَ(۱)

and obey Allah and the Messenger; if you believe

2) Honour and reverence

The devotion to the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم also requires that the Rasool of Rahmah, the Intercessor of Ummah, the Distributor of Na’mah, the Owner of Jannah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم should be immensely revered and honoured. Allah Almighty has commanded to honour and revere His Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in the Holy Quran. Part 26, Surah Al-Fath, Verse No.9 Allah Almighty has stated:

وَ تُعَزِّرُوْهُ وَ تُوَقِّرُوْهُؕ                                                      

and honour and revere the Messenger (Prophet Muhammad)

3) Zikr in abundance

The person who claims to be a devotee of his beloved also does his zikr [remembrance] in abundance because a true devotee derives pleasure from the zikr of his beloved. The centre of our devotion and love is the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم so we should do his zikr in abundance, ecstatically recite and listen to Naats [Praise of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم], deliver and listen to the speeches consisting of the grandeur and glory of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and keep on reciting blessed Durood in abundance.
اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه we will get enormous blessings.

4) Befriending the friends of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and bearing enmity towards his enemies

As a true devotee loves everything related to his beloved, one of the prerequisites of devotion is, to have veneration in his heart for the friends
