Madani pearls of putting kohl

1. It is Sunnah to use antimony (kohl/Surmah) before sleeping.

(Mirat-ul-Manajih, p. 180, vol. 6)

2. Here is the summary of the three narrated methods of using kohl.

٭ Apply thrice to each eye (put the kohl applier in the kohl bottle each time for a new application).

٭ Apply thrice in the right eye and twice in the left.

 

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب           صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Du’a for abstaining from backbiting

In the Madani Halqahs of Dawat-e-Islami’s Sunnah-inspiring Ijtima’ this week, the Du’a for ‘abstaining from backbiting’ will be taught as per the schedule. The Du’a is as follows:

‘When you sit in a gathering   and recite بِسۡـمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحۡـمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ وَ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will designate an angel that will keep you from backbiting. When you depart from that gathering and recite   بِسۡـمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحۡـمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ وَ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد, the angel will keep others from backbiting against you.’
