Love for Hasanayn Karimayn is Wajib
Sayyiduna Abdullah Bin ‘Abbas رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُمَا has stated: When this (part 25, Surah Ash-Shura) blessed Ayah revealed:
قُلْ لَّاۤ اَسْــٴَـلُكُمْ عَلَیْهِ اَجْرًا اِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِی الْقُرْبٰىؕ-
Translation from Kanz-ul-Iman: Say you (O Beloved), ‘I do not ask any recompense from you for this (propagation of religion), except (your) love for (my) close relatives (i.e. children, wives, etc.). (Part 25, Surah Ash-Shura, Ayah 23)
So the blessed companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُم humbly
asked: ‘Ya Rasoolallah
(صَلَّى
اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم)! Who are the relatives of yours to whom it is Wajib for us to love?’ The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied, (Sayyiduna) ‘Ali-ul-Murtada, (Sayyidatuna)
Fatima-tuz-Zahra and their both sons (i.e., Sayyiduna Imam Hasan and Sayyiduna Imam

Having love for these blessed personalities is, in fact, having love for the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and the love for the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is the sign of perfect Iman.
