by any piece of cloth, etc. Additionally, it is also permissible to perform Tilawat whilst walking or working, provided attention of the heart is not distracted; otherwise it would be Makruh [disliked]. (ibid, pp. 496)
11 It is impermissible to recite the Holy Quran in the bathroom or in the places of impurity. (ibid)
12 Listening to the recitation of the Holy Quran is better than reciting the Holy Quran or offering Nafl Salah [supererogatory prayers]. (ibid, pp. 497)
13 If somebody recites incorrectly, it is Wajib for the listener to correct him, provided that it does not create grudge and jealousy. (ibid, pp. 498)
14 Recite the Holy Quran with Tarteel (slowly and distinctly), this is the Mustahab way.
15 During recitation, if someone feels laziness and weakness, it is better for him to stop recitation for some time so that he could start recitation again actively and comfortably.
The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: Keep reciting the Holy Quran as long as you remain attentive; then, when you start getting inattentive, stop recitation. (Sahih Bukhari, vol. 3, pp. 419, Hadees 5060)
