Night worship brought about forgiveness!

Sayyiduna Qabeesah Bin ‘Uqbah رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has said: I saw Sayyiduna Sufyan Sawri رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه in dream after his death and asked: ‘مَا فَعَلَ اللہُ بِکَ’ i.e. How did Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ treat you? He replied: I saw my Merciful Lord, so Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ said to me: O Ibn-e-Sa’eed! Congratulations, I am pleased with you because when night would fall, you would worship Me with tears and undivided attention. Paradise is in front of you; whatever palace you want you may take and you keep viewing Me because I am not far from you. (Hilyat-ul-Awliya, vol. 7, pp. 77)
