Sadr-ul-Afadil, ‘Allamah Maulana Mufti Sayyid Muhammad Na’eemuddin Muradabadi عَـلَيْهِ رَحۡمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ الۡـهَادِی has said: ‘Lying and blaming are the jobs of dishonest people.’ (Khaza`in-ul-‘Irfan, part 14, An-Nahl, Taht-al-Ayah 105)

Imam-ul-Mutakallimeen, ‘Allamah Imam Fakhruddin Muhammad Bin ‘Umar Razi رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has stated: The abovementioned blessed verse is a concrete proof on this thing that lying is the greatest of the major sins and the worst of all the evils because only that person can dare to speak a lie and blame others who does not believe in the signs of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ or that person who is a non-Muslim and the condemnation of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ with such strict words is a severe warning from Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ.
