Baap Ki Azmat o Shan

Book Name:Baap Ki Azmat o Shan

*When going to sleep, remember sleeping in the grave, where one will sleep alone, with no companion except one's deeds.

*When sleeping, engage in the remembrance of Allah Almighty; recite tahlīl, tasbīḥ, and tamīd (i.e., continuously recite لَا اِلٰہَ اِلاَّ اللہُ   سُبْحٰنَ اللہِ and اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰہِ) until you fall asleep, as a person rises in the same state in which they sleep, and will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment in the same state in which they die.[1]

*After waking up, recite this supplication: اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰہِ الَّذِیْۤ اَحْیَانَا بَعْدَ مَآ اَمَا تَنَا وَاِلَیْہِ النُّشُوْرُ.[2] Translation: All praises are for Allah, Who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the return.

*At that very moment, make a firm intention to practice piety and righteousness and not to harm anyone.[3]

*When boys and girls reach the age of ten, they should sleep separately. Moreover, a boy of this age should not sleep with boys of his own age (i.e., grown-up boys) or with older men.[4]

*When husband and wife sleep on one bed, they should not let a ten-year-old child sleep with them. When a boy reaches the age of legal maturity, he is considered a man.[5]

*After waking up from sleep, use a miswak.
