Book Name:Ramzan Kaise Guzare
month, affiliate yourselves with the religious environment of Dawat-e-Islami and take part in its 12 Islamic activities.
One of these 12 activities is to partake in Quran study circles. Three verses of the Quran are recited with translation from Kanz al-Īmān. Quranic commentary is then given from works such as Khazāin al-ʿIrfān, Nūr al-ʿIrfān or Ṣirāṭ al-Jinān. This is then followed by a lesson delivered from Blessings of Sunnah and recital of the Shajarah Qādiriyyah Razawiyyah Ziāiyyah ʿAṭṭāriyyah.
This study circle takes place after fajr salah, which allows the masjid to remain populated. This is a great opportunity to listen to the Quran, recite it, understand it and acquire knowledge regarding a host of Islamic topics. Understanding and teaching the Quran has unimaginable benefit, as mentioned in a hadith of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم , in which he beautifully said, خَیْـرُکُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْـقُراٰنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ - “The best amongst you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.”[1]
Imagine starting your day in this fashion: attending a study circle of Quran after fajr salah, listening to the Quran and its commentary, listening to a four-page lesson delivered from the book Blessings of Sunnah, reciting various invocations and hearing mention of pious saints in form of the Shajarah. Think of all the blessings you begin your day with! This Quran study circle after fajr salah can be considered a compilation of many acts of goodness.
Dear Islamic brothers! Due to a lack of knowledge, many Islamic brothers do not offer salah or recite the Quran correctly. All praise is to Allah Who has granted us Ramaḍān again, as this is a great opportunity to learn how to pray and recite the Quran. Try to develop the following mindset: if you do not know how to recite the Quran, you will learn how to. If you already know, you will teach your fellow Islamic brothers.
