    him with this intention and greeted him with salam and he replied.

    He said to him, “O pious man! I want to ask you something; will you answer me?’”

    He replied, “If I know the answer, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه I will most certainly reply.”

    He asked him, “Which blessing is it that you are praising Allah Almighty upon, and which favour is it that you are expressing gratitude for?” (Despite having lost your hands, feet, and eyes etc., you are still mentioning praise).

    That person said, “Do you not see how my Lord has dealt with me?”

    He replied, “Why not? I have seen everything.”

    Then he said, “Look! If Allah Almighty willed, He could send down fire from the sky that would burn me, turning me into ashes. If Allah Almighty willed, He could command the mountains to destroy me or order the ocean to drown me and then instruct the Earth to swallow me. However, do you not see that Allah Almighty protected me from all these calamities? So, why should I not express gratitude to my Lord? Why should I not praise and love Him?”[1]

    صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

    سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه! Dear Islamic brothers, did you hear how the pious servants of Allah Almighty, despite being deprived of some blessings, remained patient and grateful as though those blessings had never been
