Hubb-e-Jaah Ki Mozammat

Book Name:Hubb-e-Jaah Ki Mozammat

Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornment, We will give them the full reward therein and will not cause any reduction in it. These are the ones for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter except Fire; and whatever they used to do there was wasted and all their deeds became nullified.

[Kanz-ul-Iman (translation of Quran)] (Part 12, Surah Hood, verses 15,16)

This verse, in its generality, also alludes to desiring fame, as this is a significant part of the desires and adornments of this world. (Ihya’-ul-‘Uloom, vol. 3)

In another part of the Quran, it states:

مَنْ كَانَ یُرِیْدُ حَرْثَ الْاٰخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهٗ فِیْ حَرْثِهٖۚ-وَ مَنْ كَانَ یُرِیْدُ حَرْثَ الدُّنْیَا نُؤْتِهٖ مِنْهَا وَ مَا لَهٗ فِی الْاٰخِرَةِ مِنْ نَّصِیْبٍ(۲۰)

Whosoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter, We increase his harvest for him; and whoever desires the harvest of this world, We will give him some of it, and he has no share in the Hereafter.

[Kanz-ul-Iman (translation of Quran)] (Part 25, Surah Al-Shoora, verse 20)

Note the explanation to different parts of this verse from Tafseer Noor-ul-Irfan:

Is in reference to those who intend to please Allah and the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and do not perform actions to show off.

Means that such an individual will be granted the ability to perform more good deeds. Moreover, the performance of good deeds will be made easier too, and he will be rewarded in abundance for his actions.
