One special thing about the letter was that the way it was readable from the front of the page, similarly, it was readable from the back of the page as well. I asked my beloved mother that ‘what action did grandfather use to perform?’ My mother replied: ‘کَانَ اَکْثَرُ عَمَلِہٖ دَوَامُ الذِّکْرِمَعَ کَثْرَۃِ الصَّلٰوۃِ عَلَی النَّبِی’ i.e. What he used to do was that along with performing Zikr of Allah Almighty, he would always recite Salat upon the Holy Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم abundantly too. (Sa’adat-ud-Daarayn, pp. 152)

صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد                     صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب

O devotees of Rasool! Have you heard that what a great action reciting Salat upon the Holy Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is? By the virtue of it, a letter of attaining salvation from the Hellfire was revealed before people. Those who would have witnessed this blessing of reciting Salat upon the Holy Rasool
صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم with their own eyes, they would have developed a mind-set of reciting Salat and Salam upon the Holy Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.

We should also develop the habit of reciting Salat upon the Holy Rasool
صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم abundantly while walking, sitting down, getting up and at all times. Several books have been written on the virtues of reciting Salat and Salam upon the Holy Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. Remember! Ink of pen can finish, words can also come to an end, but the virtues of reciting Salat and Salam upon the Holy Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم still cannot be duly mentioned. Reciting Salat upon the Holy Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is such a beautiful action that even Allah Almighty and His angels also perform this action. Therefore, Allah Almighty says in part 22, Surah Al-Ahzaab, Ayah no. 56:

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ وَ مَلٰٓىٕكَتَهٗ یُصَلُّوْنَ عَلَى النَّبِیِّؕ-یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا صَلُّوْا عَلَیْهِ وَ سَلِّمُوْا تَسْلِیْمًا(۵۶)
