Dawat-e-Islami Day

In Surah Āle Imran, verse 104, Allah Almighty says:

وَلْتَکُنۡ مِّنۡکُمْ اُمَّۃٌ یَّدْعُوۡنَ اِلَی الْخَیۡرِ وَیَاۡمُرُوۡنَ بِالْمَعْرُوۡفِ وَیَنْہَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنۡکَرِ ؕ وَاُولٰٓئِکَ ھُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوۡنَ )۱۰۴(

Translation from Kanz al-Īmān: “And there should be such a group amongst you who invite (people) towards righteousness, and command that which is good, and forbid that which is evil; and it is these people who are the successful.”

Founding & Growth

Acting upon the above verse, in September 1981, the renowned spiritual guide and international Islamic scholar, Shaykh Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri Razavi دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ founded a religious movement known as Dawat-e-Islami with a group of devoted companions. With unwavering determination, Dawat-e-Islami flourished, steering clear of the turbulent waters of politics, protests, and strikes. Guided by the blessings and grace of Allah Almighty, Dawat-e-Islami shone like a beacon of light. Not confining itself to Pakistan, within a short space of time, the spirit of this sacred mission transcended borders and spanned the globe. Serving its noble purpose, Dawat-e-Islami has established more than 313 sub-branches under 80+ departments.

Leadership & Central Executive Council

Under the guidance of Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat  دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ, Central Executive Council of Dawat-e-Islami makes every effort to elevate the system. With tender care and a guiding touch, Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ showers affection upon this council, nurturing its growth and fostering the betterment of Dawat-e-Islami's overall system.

Religious & Educational Initiatives

Dawat-e-Islami has meticulously established thousands of Masājid and continues to support these spiritual sanctuaries with earnest dedication. Not stopping here, it has spread enlightenment through educational institutions too. Madrasa-tul-Madinah and Jamia-tul-Madinah are the two educational initiatives, where the essence of the holy Quran and religious wisdom flourishes.

With a sublime vision, the organisation has dedicated itself to shaping thousands of reciters and memorisers of the noble Quran, Imams, preachers, scholars, and Muftis, building the pillars of character and reform in society.

The movement boasts a vast number of devoted individuals, with over 500,000 spirited men and women passionately engaged in diverse activities. Around 46,000 dedicated employees reap the fruits of their labour, and like a constellation of stars, millions of supporters aim at the primary goal of reforming themselves and all the people of the world.

Dar-ul-Ifta Ahl-e-Sunnat

In the realm of religious counsel, Dawat-e-Islami has established branches of ‘Dar-ul-Ifta Ahl-e-Sunnat’ in multiple corners of the world. Within these sacred places, erudite scholars, enriched with the culturing of Dawat-e-Islami, graciously answer the queries according to Islamic jurisprudence, issuing Islamic legal edicts and juristic rulings through an array of channels, such as mobile phone, email, etc.

Islamic Research Centre & Publication Department

With the vision of disseminating sacred knowledge, ‘Al Madina-tul-Ilmiyyah’ (Islamic Research Centre), stands as a prolific fountainhead, researching, editing, and authoring a plethora of books and pamphlets. Delving into the depths of exegesis, Hadith, Islamic jurisprudence, the prophetic biography, and other inspirational writings, these literary gems carry a message of enlightenment.

In graceful collaboration, the centre is linked with various sub-departments, most notably the esteemed sub-department for the books of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه, collating and presenting the precious materials with resolute devotion. These publications are disseminated through Dawat-e-Islami's publication department, Maktaba-tul-Madinah.

Translation Department

By the grace of Allah Almighty, Dawat-e-Islami is diligently translating religious literature into 46 languages worldwide. So far, the department has completed over 7,000 projects in total and posted many of them on the official website of Dawat-e-Islami, with the aim of guiding the Muslim community. Under this department, the translation of the holy Quran, titled ‘Kanzul Irfan’ with explanatory notes ‘Ifham-ul-Quran,’ is underway in 30 languages.

By the grace of Allah, English and Sindhi translations of ‘Kanzul Irfan’ with explanatory notes ‘Ifham-ul-Quran’ and ‘Kanz al-Iman’ have been published by Dawat-e-Islami's department, Maktaba-tul-Madina.

Online Reach & Education

Dawat-e-Islami reaches out to people with its message of righteousness through its online presence, www.dawateislami.net, too, offering resources in various languages. ‘Faizan Online Academy’ provides online courses like Madani curriculum and the recitation and memorisation of the holy Quran. More than 30 courses unlock the doors of enlightenment like pearls of wisdom reaching the very homes of those who yearn to embrace sacred knowledge.

Education System - Dar-ul-Madinah

In the sphere of education, like a radiant beacon of knowledge, the English medium, Islamic schooling system known as ‘Dar-ul-Madinah’ spreads its light, nurturing young minds from pre-nursery to secondary level. With lofty aspirations, it sets its sights on extending its beneficial influence to the realms of college and university education.

IT Sector

With the spirit of technological innovation, Dawat-e-Islami advances on its sacred journey and has established the awe-inspiring IT Department, a harmonious synthesis where Islamic knowledge merges seamlessly with digital wonders.

Through the accessibility of social media and its multifaceted website, it casts its net wide, embracing souls everywhere. The IT department has made the treasure of Islamic knowledge easily accessible to the public through the internet and modern technology. This dedication to blending tradition with technological innovation has brought about great success for Dawat-e-Islami in the digital media and IT sector.

Media Presence

Dawat-e-Islami conveys the call to righteousness through ‘Madani Channel,’ broadcasting Islamic teachings in Urdu, English, and Bengali on seven major satellites. Utilising social media, Dawat-e-Islami spreads Islamic education, touching the lives of approximately 450 million users in pursuit of reformation.

Philanthropy & Social Services

In the realm of social welfare, the FGRF (Faizan Global Relief Foundation) has emerged as a shining star, extending its philanthropic embrace during times of natural disaster and societal hardships. With courage and determination, FGRF has touched the lives of over 2.6 million households, offering sustenance and hope through cash, rations, and more.

Its benevolence knows no bounds, as witnessed in the collection of around 53,000 precious blood bags - a lifeline for thalassemia patients.

Other Projects

Dawat-e-Islami's canvas of compassion is ever expanding. It includes ‘Green World Program’, under which millions of trees have been planted. Another gem from its illustrious portfolio is ‘FRC’ (Faizan Rehabilitation Centre), which extends its compassionate hand to orphans and needy children, nurturing them with care.

With lofty aspirations, Dawat-e-Islami envisions ‘Madani Homes’ for boys and girls, fostering a sanctuary of love and learning. Empowering men and women with skills, it lays the foundation of institutions that breathe life into dreams, paving the way for a brighter tomorrow.
