I Have Heard That You Visit The Homes Of All The Devotees

Plea

I have heard that you visit the homes of all the devotees

I have heard that you visit the homes of all the devotees

May my home be enlightened too Ya Rasoolallah

O devotees of the Prophet! You may have heard this couplet from the Na’t reciters many times. It may be the case that you too have recited this a number of times whilst being immersed in the devotion and remembrance of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. The reciter of this couplet is requesting in the court of the Final Prophet of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم that may the Generous Master صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم honours his home with his noble presence.

By the bestowal of Allah Almighty, it is not impossible for the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم to go to someone’s abode. There have been many fortunate individuals in the past 14 centuries who have been blessed by the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم with a portion of this great treasure, and no doubt, the individual who the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم grants the honour of being his host and whom he صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم allows to behold his illuminating face, the destiny of that fortunate individual itself would feel proud of its elevated rank.

O devotees of the Prophet! The Generous Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم can bless whom he wants, whenever he wants and however he wants. This is upon his grace. However, we should ponder over the following: Have we made preparations to welcome the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم? Are we ready to greet him at our humble dwellings? The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said: وَجُعِلَتْ قُرَّةُ عَيْنِی فِی الصَّلَاةِ i.e. ‘The coolness of my eyes is in Salah’. Every one of us, therefore, should ponder over the fact: Do we please the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, whom we want to welcome, by offering Salah acting upon this blessed saying of his??

Have I acted upon the commandments that the Noble Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم brought from the court of his Lord Almighty and conveyed to us such as Fasting, Zakah, Hajj and other obligatory commandments?

In order to welcome the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, have I adorned my face with the sign of his love, the beard or do I not have a beard which is a great sign of his love or is it less than a fistful or have I imitated the style of non-believers and made strange designs in my beard or is my moustache so long that my lips are covered and totally resembling the fire worshipping envoys who were sent by the Persian non-believer ruler who was a blasphemer of the Beloved Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, as they had no beards and their moustaches were covering their lips, on seeing which the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم felt distressed and expressed dislike?

Just ponder for a moment, have I prepared my children to welcome that Generous Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم? Are my children adherents of the Sunnah of the Final Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم or not? We are not only responsible for ourselves and our children, rather, we must take care of the women of our household too ensuring that their clothing does not oppose the prophetic teachings of modesty.

It is a reality that no matter how big our houses become from a worldly perspective and whether there is beauty and adornment everywhere, all of these are still not worthy of the blessed sandals of the noble feet of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. It is solely his mercy, generosity and affection towards us if he blesses us with his noble presence and honours our abodes. However, we must contemplate that regardless of the state of our house, i.e. big or small, owned or rented, solidly built or a hut, no matter the state of our house, is it the case that musical instruments are being played in our houses regarding which the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: ‘I have been sent to break the musical instruments.’ (Kanz-ul-Ummal, juz 15, vol. 8, p. 99, Hadees 40682)

Do the walls and curtains of our homes have pictures of living beings  regarding which the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said: ‘Angels do not enter the house in which there are pictures.’ (Bukhari, vol. 2, p. 21, Hadees 2105)

O devotees of the Prophet! We need to prepare to greet and welcome the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم upon his arrival in any case; but alongside this, think about the fact the everyday in the morning and evening, moreover on Monday and Thursday and specifically on Friday, our deeds of the entire week are presented in the blessed court of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. That Generous Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم who began supplicating for our forgiveness as soon as he arrived in this world, who awoke at nights all his life and shed tears for us sinners in the court of his Lord, when he would see that an Ummati of his is deceiving his another Ummati, is lying to him, is oppressing him, is swearing at him, is tarnishing his honour, is determined to disgrace him, is backbiting him, or the Ummati himself is involved in immodest and shameful acts, then think for a moment that what will the affectionate Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم feel when he would witness all this?

Shame on the Ummati who causes distress to his noble Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم instead of providing him with comfort and peace. That generous and compassionate Prophet remembered his Ummatis at the time of his birth, throughout his pure apparent life, at the time of departing from this world, in his blessed grave and will not forget them even on the horror-filled day of Judgement, but the Ummatis who recited his Kalimah and who call themselves his devotees continue to cause him pain with their actions and deeds!

It is my plea to every devotee of the Prophet! Keep listening to and reciting Na’t whilst being immersed in the love of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, continue holding gatherings of his remembrance. Harming a Muslim is indeed harming the Prophet, refrain from doing so. Protect yourself from every non-Shar’i and immodest act. Act upon Sunnahs and persuade your family members to do the same.  Follow the Shari’ah brought by your Prophet in every place and in every situation. Moreover, if possible, only watch Madani Channel in your home for the rectification of yourself and your family members. May Allah Almighty grant us the Taufeeq to become the true devotees of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
