Dear children, Sayyidunā Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ was the first man to embrace Islam. He is the best of people after the Prophets and Messengers عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـصَّلٰوةُ وَالـسَّـلَام. He is the first caliph of the Muslims. His name was ꜤAbdullāh, his father’s name was ꜤUthmān, and his mother’s name was Salmā. He had three sons and three daughters. His sons were ꜤAbdullāh, ꜤAbd al-Raḥmān and Muhammad b. Abū Bakr. His daughters were Asmāˈ, ꜤĀˈishah and Umm Kulthūm. He passed away on 22^nd Jumādā al-Ākhirah 13 AH in al-Madīnah al-Munawwarah and was buried next to the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
