Madinay ki Machli | The Fish of Madinah
entire wealth, the garden of Bayruha is the dearest to me. I give it as charity in the path of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. I seek its reward from Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ, in abundance. Ya Rasoolallah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, you spend it at a place wherever you want.’ The Prophet of Rahmah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied, ‘بَخۡ ذٰلِكَ مَالٌ رَّابِحٌ’ i.e. Great! This is an extremely beneficial asset! The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم continued, ‘I have heard what you have said. My opinion is that you should donate it among your immediate relatives.’ Sayyiduna Abu Talhah رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ said, ‘Ya Rasoolallah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, I act accordingly.’ Then, Sayyiduna Abu Talhah رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ donated the garden to his close relatives and cousins.

May Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ have mercy on him and forgive us without accountability for his sake!
اٰمِيۡن بِجَاهِ النَّبِيِّ الۡاَمِيۡن صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيۡهِ وَاٰلِه وَسَلَّم
The renowned exegete of Quran, Hakeem-ul-Ummat, Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan عَـلَيْهِ رَحْـمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ الْـحَـنَّان has stated on page 125 of volume 3 of Mirat-ul-Manajih: The Muhaddiseen (scholars of Hadees) have mentioned eight meanings of the name ‘Bayruha’. Amongst them, one meaning is ‘Haa’. This was the name of the person who had managed the well (in that garden) to be dug. Since the well was in that garden, the garden was also named
