Abu Abdullah Khafeef
رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه said to them: ‘I stay in the royal court
for the same reason.’ Listening to it, both of them apologised to him, becoming
his admirers. (Tazkira-tul-Awliya, pp. 109)
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers! In order to remain protected from the harmful effects of bad assumption, we should make practical efforts to find cures for it.
We should shift our attention to the good qualities of our Muslim brothers. Anyone who has good assumption about his Islamic brothers is blessed with the peace of heart and the one who indulges in the bad habit of having bad assumption ruins his own peace of heart.
Keep
reforming yourself because a pious person has good assumption about others. One
who is involved in evil acts, considers others also to be like him. An Arabic
saying goes:
‘اِذَا سَاءَ فِعۡلُ الۡمَرۡءِ سَاءَتۡ ظُنُوۡنُهُ’ i.e. when a person’s actions become evil,
then his assumptions become evil as well.
