Men should have their Shalwār (a type of loose trousers) above their ankles because the part which is below the ankle due to pride is in the fire. It is stated in Ḥadīš, “A person was dragging his Taĥband due to pride. He was forced into the ground and will be treated in the same way until the Day of Judgement.” (Ṣaḥīḥ Bukhārī, Ḥadīš 5787, V4, P46, Dār-ul-Kutub-ul-‘Ilmiyyaĥ, Beirut)

Bedridden Mother’s Recovery
An Islamic brother living in Karachi states ‘My mother was too ill even to rise from her bed. Even the doctors had disappointed us declaring that she would not recover.
